Chocolate Lava Cake

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 220°C (425°F). Butter 4 ramekins and dust with cocoa powder.
  2. Melt chocolate and butter together in a double boiler.
  3. Remove from heat and whisk in powdered sugar.
  4. Add eggs one at a time, whisking well after each.
  5. Fold in flour until just combined.
  6. Divide batter among ramekins.
  7. Bake for 12 minutes until edges are firm but center is soft.
  8. Let cool 1 minute, then invert onto plates. Serve with ice cream.

💡 Chef's Tip

The cakes can be prepared ahead and refrigerated. Add 2 minutes to baking time if cold.
